Ingen Technologies (IGNT.PK) Set to
Take Over $500 Million Market for Cannulas

Ingen Technologies, Inc. (IGNT.PK) is at a crossroads in the development of its ground-breaking smart cannulas. After years of development and preparation, the company is ready to launch its innovative product and revolutionize the $500 million cannula market!

A Growing $500 Million per Year Market

Oxygen cannulas are used by those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to increase oxygen flow and breathe easier. Approximately 23 million patients use oxygen cannulas in their home on a regular basis, while millions more use them in a hospital environment.

COPD is also a growing problem throughout the United States and abroad, as the population ages and smoking remains prominent. Deaths from COPD rose 102.8% from 1970 to 2002 and remain a problem, according to the American Cancer Society.

Since cannulas must be replaced every two or three months, there is a growing $500 million per year market for the product. Meanwhile, most of the cost is covered by a $189 per month Medicare reimbursement for oxygen tanks to treat COPD or similar problems.

Combined, this has created a growing, stable and predictable market ideal for investors.

A Market in Need of Change!

Since most in-home care providers are looking to maximize their profit margins, most oxygen cannulas now come from cheap overseas producers in countries like China. Quite simply, this is because there has been very little change in the way a cannula works… until now.

For patients, the largest concern for oxygen patients is the continuous flow of oxygen, which can be disrupted or stopped when the tank empties. If this goes unnoticed, it can lead to serious complications or even death.

For care providers, paranoid oxygen patients that believe something is wrong account for a substantial portion of support costs. Sometimes, in-home visits are even necessary to confirm that the oxygen is indeed flowing properly.

For hospitals and care providers alike, mistakes made reading oxygen tanks can also prove extremely costly in the form of malpractice lawsuits.

Ingen’s Game-Changing Cannula

Ingen Technologies (IGNT.PK) has solved these problems by building in a patented oxygen sensor that confirms the continuous flow of oxygen. The Oxyview enables patients to confirm the flow of oxygen, thereby reducing support calls and instantly alerting professionals if a problem exists.

Here’s what existing users are already saying:

“I believe this device will eliminate most of the after-hour calls we get and thus not have to send someone out to check the machine,” said Deena Neal of Professional Oxygen Supply, Inc. “Everyone in this industry is looking for ways to reduce costs and I think [Ingen’s Oxyview] will be a great way to help with that.”

“For less money than [our patient’s] trip to the emergency room cost, we bought enough Oxyviews to ensure every one of the nursing home residents has flow in their cannulas,” said Dr. Gary Call. “[Moreover], no longer does our staff have to lean down and lift the tank out of its bracket, let it find a balance point, before determining whether or not oxygen is available.”

Hospitals

Hospitals are already beginning to adopt Ingen’s unique cannulas…

Dr. Gary Call, Chief Medical Officer of Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot, Idaho, purchased Ingen’s Oxyview cannulas to ensure that every one of the nursing home residents has oxygen flow after experiencing a problem with an empty tank earlier.

Government

On January 28th, Ingen announced that it had officially signed a contract with Texas-based KGMA Business solutions for pursuing U.S. Government contracts.

The firm had prepared and submitted the GSA application for Ingen on September 22, 2009, which if approved, could open the door to more than 300 VA hospitals in the U.S.

International

On February 8th, Ingen announced that it passed Stage-I of its ISO 13485 Certification audit that is necessary to open international sales channels where it already has a substantial backlog and distribution partners lined up.

The company plans to finish the final Stage-II audit on March 1, 2010 and meet its 2010 projects of $11 million in sales.

Explosive Near-term Catalysts

Ingen stands at a key reflex point in its history after having developed a unique solution to a growing problem in a $500 million per year market.
Ingen’s contract with KGMA will help it expand its products into 300 VA hospitals in the U.S., which could quickly ramp up sales.
Ingen’s ISO 13485 Stage-II completion – expected in March 2010 – will help it expand into international markets where it already has backlogged orders.
